Accommodation Options 

We have collected here information on some accommodation options that are relatively close to IIT Bombay. Please note that we have not secured any special package deals with any of these hotels. ITW2022 attendees should contact these hotels directly for room bookings, or book through travel websites. Locations of these hotels in relation to IIT Bombay can be seen on the map at the bottom of this page. 

  1. Rodas, Powai. Distance to venue: 2.2km, walking time ~30 mins
  2. Meluha, Powai. Distance to venue: 2.3km, walking time ~30 mins 
  3. Ibis Mumbai Vikhroli: Distance to venue: 3km 
  4. Westin Mumbai Powai Lake: Distance to venue: 5km (one has to go all the way around Lake Powai to enter the IIT campus)

Shuttle services will be organized for ITW 2022 attendees to and from the first two venues above, and to/from the other two if there is sufficient demand. 

 Besides these, there are a large number of top-notch hotels near Mumbai International Airport, which is about 8km away from the conference venue. airbnb also has some properties around IIT Bombay in the Powai area. 

 We are working on identifying nearby budget accommodation options suitable for students.  

 Finally, there are a limited number of guesthouse rooms on campus that IIT Bombay has released for use by conference attendees. These rooms are suitable for double occupancy. The charge per room is approximately INR 4000 per night, payable directly to the guesthouse at the time of check-out. Guesthouse rooms will be made available on a first-come-first-served basis to attendees who register by August 29, 2022. At the time of registering, please choose “Yes” to the question of whether you want to avail of guesthouse accommodation. It will be appreciated if you do not object to being asked to share a room with another attendee. We will let you know by mid-September if we are able to allot you a guesthouse room. Due to the high demand anticipated for the few rooms we have available, we are not in a position presently to offer these rooms to student registrants.
