Instructions for Preparing Video Presentation
Update (September 17): Final deadline for uploading a video recording of the talk (paper presentation) is October 3, Anywhere on Earth
September 19. This is mandatory if the paper will be presented online and optional if in person. The video presentation will be hosted on the online streaming platform and will be accessible to all the registered participants during and after the workshop.
Instructions for preparing the 20-minute presentation
For the 20-minute video, the authors should prepare presentation material comprising:
presentation video (in MP4 format),
presentation slides (in PDF format), and
presenter’s name and up-to-date biography on EDAS (for scheduling the talk) by the 19th of September.
You can find details on preparing these materials below. These must be submitted via the EDAS page of your accepted paper.
Guidelines for recording videos
The 20-minute presentation video should comprise a brief introduction of the presenter with a webcam, if desired, followed by voice over the presentation slides. Please try to ensure that the opening frame of the video includes the title of the paper, the names of the authors, and a mention of ITW 2022.
Maximum duration: 20 minutes
Maximum file size: 200 MB
Video file format: MP4
Dimensions: minimum height of 720 pixels with 16:9 aspect ratio
We recommend recording the presentation using Zoom, available to users on most platforms and in most countries. Instructions for the same are available here: https://ieeetv.ieee.org/ieeetv-specials/recording-your-presentation-with-zoom
In case you are unable to access Zoom, you can consider using the free software OBS to prepare the presentation video: https://obsproject.com/
Please note that the specifications will be checked at the time of submission and files that are not compliant may not be uploaded. Please do not upload PowerPoint or PDF files instead of videos.
The uploaded presentation slides should be identical or similar to the one used in the presentation video. If you get an error “pagesize: Upload failed”, please put your presentation PDF file into a ZIP archive containing only the PDF, and upload the ZIP file (please use ZIP and not other file compression formats). This error is caused by EDAS being overly strict regarding PDF checking.
Presenter information and biography
Please use EDAS to indicate the presenter of your paper, and ensure that the country, affiliation address and biography of the presenter are up-to-date. We will try to match the time of your live presentation to your time zone using your country and affiliation address indicated in EDAS.
You can edit your affiliation, country and biography details in EDAS. You can view your current profile details by logging in to EDAS and going to ‘My profile’. You can update these fields in the ‘Edit’ –> ‘Change email address, affiliation and contact information’ tab on this page.
